Puerto Natales │ Torres del Paine │ Puerto Natales
In the early morning you drive to the famous Torres del Paine National Park. The diverse ride leads through picturesque landscapes of the park which you will explore in the upcoming days first-hand on the W-Trek.
In the morning you start your first hike of 7-8 hours. At first you ascend for about 2 hours until reaching the El Chileno Refuge, conquering 420m/1,377ft meters of altitude. You can leave your day pack there because you’ll come back to this place in the afternoon. The destination of the day is the view point Mirador Base de las Torres where you have a fantastic view of the Torres del Paine´s rock peaks. Afterwards you descend back to your accommodation at El Chileno Refuge.
Today you hike around 6 hours over rolling mountains with only a couple steep sections to reach the camp at the lakeside of the turquoise-blue Nordenskjöld Lake. On the way you can enjoy beautiful views of the numerous lakes and maybe even spot Guanakos. With a bit of luck you can even see some condors of the Andes high in the sky. With a sunny climate, the location of the camps is ideal for cooling down your tired feet in the freezing cold lake right next to your accommodation.
Today the second part of the W-Trek starts. At first you walk along the magnificent lake to Camp Italiano where you can leave part of your gear until your return in the afternoon. Then you make your way to the Valle del Francés and reach the phenomenal viewpoint over the green valley, framed by massive granite mountains. You then return to Camp Italiano to pick up your gear and you continue for another 2 hours until reaching the Paine Grande Refuge at Lake Pehoé.
In the morning you start the last leg of the W-Trek. The trek leads to the massive Grey Lake that has sheets of ice floating in it. Then you ascend to a viewing platform where you get a fantastic view of the impressive Grey Glacier and the mountains in the distance. After this you start walking to your accommodation for the day which lies on the lakeside.
Today the W-Trek comes to and end and you return to Puerto Natales with unforgettable memories. After breakfast you walk back to the Paine Grande Refuge and board a catamaran which brings you to Pudeto. From here you ride back to Puerto Natales.
