Day 1: Arrival Buenos Aires

Welcome to the metropolis of Buenos Aires! At the airport you will meet your driver and be taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your disposal. Why don’t you dive into the big city life of the Porteños today and collect impressions of the colorful scene?

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Get to know the vibrant metropolis today with your local guide on a city tour by walking and by public transportation. You will explore the historic center of the city with the obelisk, the artists’ quarter San Telmo, the colorful La Boca and the harbor district Puerto Madero. In the late evening you will dive into the nightlife of Buenos Aires. In traditional milongas you will experience the legendary tango and can watch how the dancing couples move gracefully to the dramatic music, or even try to dance yourself.

Day 3: Flight to Bariloche and Circuito Chico

The journey continues today to Bariloche. Once here, you will take the iconic Circuito Chico tour with your guide. First stop is the Cerro Campanario from where you can enjoy a fantastic view. You will pass the Hotel Llao Llao, idyllically located on a peninsula in Lago Nahuel Huapi, and take a short hike through the Llao Llao Park. At the end of the tour you will visit a local brewery.

Day 4: Active day in Bariloche

Bariloche impresses with its contrasting landscapes. Snow-covered mountain ranges, shimmering blue lakes, dry steppe, gigantic glaciers and evergreen forests are waiting for you. With the wide range of activities that it offers, such as hiking, mountain bike tours, kayak trips or photo workshops, there is something to do for everyone. According to your wishes we will adapt the day to your needs!

Day 5: Picturesque landscapes on the way to Chile

From Bariloche, you will cross the Andes by bus and boat to Puerto Varas in Chile. Along the way you will enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lake scenery. Lean back and enjoy the day to the fullest!

Day 6: Waterfalls and volcanoes near Puerto Varas

Today you will make an excursion to the National Park Vicente Perez Rosales. You will visit the nearby waterfalls of Petrohue. From here it is not far to your day’s destination, the snow-covered volcanic cone of the Osorno. A short walk over the reddish brown ash fields below the summit leads you to the side crater of Osorno. The views of the surrounding mountain and lake landscape are spectacular.

Day 7: Excursion to Chiloe Island

Today you leave the Chilean mainland and take the ferry across the channel Chacao to the island Chiloé. The island surprises with its unique culture and beautiful green and hilly landscapes. The island is known for its colorful wooden churches, of which you will of course visit some. On this excursion you will explore the northern part of the mystic island and visit, among other things, the Palafitos on the Gamboa River, the church of Nercón and the village of Dalcahue, where you will take a relaxing walk along the coast. In the evening you return to Puerto Varas.

Day 8: Flight to Punta Arenas

Today you leave the Chilean Lake District and fly from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas. Here you will receive your rental car and drive to the small port town of Puerto Natales, which is situated on the edge of an idyllic fjord landscape. On the way you might catch sight a herd of guanacos.

Day 9: Torres del Paine

We recommend you leave early today to enjoy the whole day in Torres del Paine National Park. During a walk along the beautiful Laguna Azul you will have fantastic views of the three granite peaks of Torres del Paine. On the way along the Nordenskjöld lake to the waterfall Salto Grande you will surely take many extended photo breaks to enjoy the overwhelming scenery to the fullest.

Day 10: Hike to "Base de las Torres"

If you feel like a challenging hike today, we recommend the ascent to the Base de las Torres viewpoint. The distance to be walked is almost 20 km and includes some difficult parts. You will be rewarded for your efforts with great landscapes and a fantastic view of the gigantic granite towers.

Day 11: Return to Punta Arenas

Use the morning to further explore the Torres del Paine National Park. For example, take a boat trip on Lago Grey and enjoy the views of the glacier of the same name. In the afternoon you drive back to Punta Arenas, where you return your rental car.

Day 12: Bus ride to Ushuaia

Today you will take a long bus ride from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia. Lean back and enjoy the view of the passing landscapes. Once in Ushuaia, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 13: Trekking and canoeing in the National Park Tierra del Fuego

Today you will explore the national park Tierra del Fuego on foot and by canoe. At the beginning you will visit the most southern post office in the world before you start your hike along the coastal hiking trail past rugged cliffs and through varied vegetation. After lunch you will row in a rubber dinghy on the Rio Lapataia until you reach the bay of the same name, where the Panamericana ends.

Day 14: Beagle Channel - El Calafate

Today’s excursion takes you to the famous Beagle Channel. From the boat you can observe the diverse fauna of the region and pass the lighthouse Les Eclaireurs, famous for its postcards. At Bridges Island you can enjoy the views during a short walk ashore before navigating back to Ushuaia. In the afternoon you will fly from Ushuaia to El Calafate.

Day 15: Perito Moreno Glacier

A highlight of Patagonia awaits you today: The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Admire the gigantic ice surface from the footbridges on the other side of Lago Argentino. During a boat trip you can admire the glacier walls from close by.

Day 16: Estancia Cristina

From the port of Punta Bandera you will take the boat to the Estancia Cristina. Already the boat trip is spectacular: With a view of huge icebergs and the western front of the Upsala Glacier you cross the Lago Argentino. Once on the other side, you get to know the history of this remote estancia. Afterwards you will go by jeep to the Refugio Hielos Continentales from where you will reach after a short hike a viewpoint that gives you a fantastic view of Lago Guillermo, the Upsala Glacier and the South Patagonian Ice Field.

Day 17: Return flight to Buenos Aires

Unfortunately it is time to say goodbye to the impressive landscapes of Patagonia. You will be brought to the airport in El Calafate and fly back to Buenos Aires. Once there, the rest of the day is free at your disposal.
